Founded in 1979, the glass art studio of Gong Glass Works is
directed by artist Nancy Gong. Gong Glass Works specializes in the
design and fabrication of glass art work including leaded, etched,
carved, chipped and painted glass. The primary focus of Gong
Glass Works is on site-specific installations, embracing fine art,
decorative art, signage and graphics, as well as architectural
ornamentation. Gong Glass Works designs for residential,
commercial and institutional applications with emphasis on customer
satisfaction; sensitive, responsive and enduring designs with a
focus on quality craftsmanship. Although Gong is one of those
gifted self-taught artists, her training also comes from
affiliations with the Naples Mills School of Arts and Crafts, the
Allofus Art Workshop, the School for American Craftsmen at RIT,
Narcissus Quagliata Design Workshop, Glass Art Society, Norm
Dobbins of Professional Stained Glass Workshops.
The art glass blessings are made of freestanding hand cast glass
with designs symbolic of original Chinese Blessings. To
create a sense of timelessness, the designs are each hand-cut and
dimensionally sandcarved.
